The new propulsion and suspension systems for the automobile industry create ever quieter environments inside the vehicle. This implies that noises that were traditionally negligible in vehicles with noisy engines become annoying in vehicles with quieter engines (combustion, hybrid and electric engines). This creates the need to increase acoustic comfort inside the vehicle.
The Acoustics and Vibration Laboratory at CTAG has worked on vibrational characterization and acoustic comfort in the interior of the vehicle, since its inception, developing internal working methods.
