CTAG y ANTOLIN concluyen el desarrollo de las líneas de I+D establecidas en el marco de la unidad mixta de investigación insAI

La Unidad Mixta de Investigación (UMI) insAI, iniciativa de colaboración entre CTAG y Antolin, llega a su fin tras su lanzamiento en el año 2020. Su principal objetivo ha sido el análisis, definición, diseño y desarrollo de soluciones inteligentes e innovadoras de monitorización de los ocupantes de un vehículo, con el fin de contribuir a garantizar la seguridad y mejorar la experiencia de usuario y el confort.

Así, las cuatro anualidades de ejecución han posibilitado que las líneas de investigación emprendidas permitiesen desarrollar nuevas soluciones avanzadas en el ámbito de la electrónica, de aplicación en el campo de la seguridad y conducción automatizada, del confort y de la salud.

Por lo expuesto, la finalización de las actividades de la Unidad Mixta ha permitido un incremento del nivel competitivo de CTAG y Antolin, potenciando la actividad del sector de automoción, como industria clave en las economías regional y nacional.

La Unidad Mixta de Investigación insAI ha sido subvencionada por la Axencia Galega de Innovación mediante la convocatoria de “Subvencións para a creación e posta en marcha de Unidades Mixtas de Investigación” (DOG Nº 35, de 20 de febrero de 2020), y cofinanciada con cargo al Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (Feder) en el marco del programa operativo Feder Galicia 2014-2020 (código de expediente IN853A-2020/03), contando con el apoyo de la Vicepresidencia Primeira e Consellería de Economía, Industria e Innovación de la Xunta de Galicia.

We are travelling to Stuttgart to present our latest developments in sustainable powertrains

CTAG will be participating in The Battery Show, the main international meeting point for professionals in the field of batteries and electric and hybrid vehicles.

The German city of Stuttgart will once again be responsible for hosting this event on 23, 24 and 25 May 2023. During this edition there will be more than 10,000 attendees who will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advances and technological solutions in the field of sustainable powertrains.

You will be able to find us at stand C71 where we will showcase our expertise in testing & validation of e-components, eCLIMA, eAXLE, HV power test bench and EMC testing, eMAST and Abuse Testing.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and safety systems, our Electromobility Lab represents CTAG’s commitment to promote research and development of new and more sustainable powertrains and energy storage systems.

We are taking our Shuttle to Lisbon to participate in the 15th ITS European Congress

Once again this year we are travelling to the city where the ITS European Congress is being held to present our latest innovations in smart mobility. The event will take place from May 22 to 24, 2023 at the Congress Centre in Lisbon, Portugal.

In this 15th edition, CTAG will participate in multiple ways:

– We will be at stand B30 presenting our technologies and development capabilities in Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM).

– We will carry out the demo “CTAG Autonomous Shuttle: a way of connecting Mobility”, where the public will be able to live the experience of a smart mode of transport equipped with cutting edge technologies capable of giving the vehicle the ability to communicate with the infrastructure or with other vehicles.

– The director of the Electronics and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) division of CTAG, Francisco J. Sánchez Pons, will give a talk on the 24th, at 15:15h, entitled “Managing Urban Mobility Space – What can we expect from cities in the future”.

– With the participation of Javier Vázquez on the 23rd at 11:45h, in the panel discussion “Data services for traffic management”.

The ITS European Congress, organised by ERTICO, is a benchmark event in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). This year, 57 countries will be represented and more than 2,500 attendees are expected at an exhibition area of 3,500 m2.

Concluye el proyecto colaborativo de I+D Facendo 4.0

Stellantis Vigo ha venido liderando el proyecto “FACENDO, 4.0 – Competitividad Industrial y Electromovilidad a través de la Innovación y la Transformación Digital”, en el que CTAG ha participado junto con Gradiant, Aimen y la Universidad de Vigo, y a través del cual se ha logrado incrementar la competitividad y reforzar las competencias del tejido empresarial del sector de automoción de Galicia.

Facendo 4.0 ha desplegado su plan de trabajo entre octubre de 2020 y abril de 2023, movilizando una inversión total de más 22 millones de euros en torno a los ámbitos tecnológicos de la Fábrica del Futuro, el Vehículo del Futuro y la Conectividad, y las Tecnologías de la Información.

En este marco, CTAG ha implicado a un equipo de trabajo de más 120 personas, con una inversión acumulada superior a los 9 millones de euros.

Este proyecto ha estado subvencionado por la Axencia Galega de Innovación, con el apoyo de la Vicepresidencia Primera y Consellería de Economía, Industria e Innovación de la Xunta de Galicia, mediante la convocatoria del programa Fábrica del futuro, fábrica inteligente y sostenible de la industria 4.0 (cuarta convocatoria), orientado a proyectos de investigación industrial, desarrollo experimental e innovación centrados en tecnologías industriales innovadoras dentro de la iniciativa Industrias 4.0 – captación de inversiones (DOG Nº 173, de 27 de agosto de 2020), con código de expediente IN854A-2020/01, y cofinanciada por la Unión Europea a través del Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER) – “Una manera de hacer Europa”, dentro del Programa Operativo FEDER Galicia 2014-2020, con el objetivo de “Promover o Desenvolvemento Tecnolóxico, a Innovación e unha Investigación de Calidade”.

CTAG recognised as Technology Center of the Year

Last week CTAG attended the IV International Congress of Energy Engineering (iENER’23) in Valencia, a national event that brings together multiple actors in fields related to Energy Engineering, such as sustainable mobility, smart cities, energy service companies…

Over the two days of the event, our Shuttle was offering regular transport services around La Marina de Valencia, allowing everyone who got on board to enjoy a new form of 100% electric, connected and autonomous mobility.

As part of this pilot, travellers were introduced to the Green Priority use case, a solution that allows the Shuttle to be connected to the traffic lights on its route, so that they change to green when they detect that the Shuttle is near.

On the other hand, at the end of the first day of the congress, the AEE ANNUAL AWARDS were presented, a ceremony in which CTAG was recognised as “Technology Center of the Year”. The award was received by Francisco José Sánchez Pons, director of our Electronics and ITS division.

We thank the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), a leading certification body for professional energy managers worldwide, for recognising our work on autonomous, connected and electric vehicles and towards the search for new models of sustainable mobility.

The ITHACA Project kicks off

CTAG announces the launch of the ITHACA project (AutomotIon of THe electricAl vechicle ChArging), which aims to develop a safer and more efficient electric vehicle charging process through robotization, in order to facilitate access and use by vulnerable groups.

ITHACA is integrated into the framework of the European SMART4ALL H2020 Project (GA No. 872614), as a winner of the third open call for cascade funding. Its launch seeks to build capacity among EU member countries through the development of self-sustained cross-border experiments for knowledge and technology transfer between academia and industry.

The project is led by the Bulgarian company IKEM and managed by INFOCOM, which will also coordinate sustainability, market and dissemination activities.

CTAG will contribute to the development of a robotic solution for plugging and unplugging the charger, sharing its extensive experience in developing innovations for the Factory of the Future.

The project will run from April to December 2023.

CTAG firma la implantación del nuevo Grado en Ingeniería de Automoción de Galicia

CTAG, la Universidad de Vigo, la Xunta de Galicia, Stellantis y CEAGA firman un convenio de colaboración para dar impulso a la implantación y el desarrollo del grado en Ingeniería de Automoción con mención dual de Galicia.

Este nuevo título oficial se lanzará por primera vez el próximo curso 2023-2024 y se desarrollará a lo largo de cuatro años, durante los cuales se darán al alumnado las bases para especializarse en el sector de la automoción, uno de los sectores más importantes y con más volumen de trabajo de Galicia.

La principal característica de este grado dual es que da la oportunidad al alumnado de desarrollar el último curso completo realizando prácticas en empresas del sector de la automoción, pudiendo aplicar ese aprendizaje práctico al desarrollo de su trabajo final de grado (TFG).

CTAG aportó su experiencia y conocimientos, en colaboración con la UVigo, Stellantis y CEAGA, en la creación de la arquitectura de contenidos para este grado. El objetivo es promover la formación de talento de cara a seguir creciendo y haciendo frente a los nuevos retos en materia de movilidad sostenible y conectada.

CTAG signs with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism a collaboration protocol for the future Spanish Network of Laboratories for Autonomous and Connected Vehicles

CTAG and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (MINCOTUR) sign a collaboration protocol with the aim of formalising the launch of a laboratory network and a testing and research centre to develop technologies related to autonomous and connected vehicles.

Different vehicle and component manufacturing companies will have the opportunity to validate, test and pre-homologate new products and R&D activities before introducing them into the market.

CTAG will be able to share its experience in this field, to which it has been committed since 2005 with a strategic line of R&D&I in development and validation of autonomous and connected vehicles, as well as help to “Position Spain as the European testing and validation reference ground for the connected vehicle, and become a benchmark in the new industrial model associated with the design and manufacture of connected, autonomous and sustainable vehicles, with the attraction of investments and new projects for companies in the sector” as our managing director, Luis Moreno, highlighted yesterday.

Furthermore, Reyes Maroto explained that “Spain wants to play a leading role in the design and development of autonomous and connected vehicles and this protocol is committed to a public-private collaboration model to promote connected, autonomous, sustainable and safe mobility”.

We’re taking the SHUTTLE to Seville to participate in the XXIII Spanish and V Ibero-American ITS Congress

Next 28th, 29th and 30th March, the ITS Congress (Intelligent Transport Systems) will be held in Seville, this year focusing on the “Deployment of ITS for sustainable mobility”.

CTAG will be attending as a speaker with our Electronics and Intelligent Transport Systems Director, Francisco Sánchez Pons, in the context of Cooperative Systems and with the topic “Current global trends in autonomous and connected driving”.

During this exhibition, he will present our 100% electric, connected and autonomous SHUTTLE, a sustainable mobility solution that can cover both short and long distance transfers.

In addition, on the last day of the event, the annual ITS 2023 Sector Awards will be presented to organisations, projects and individuals. Within the latter group, one of the award winners will be our colleague Ana Paul, Director of Technological Innovation at CTAG. Congratulations!

El ‘E+Mobility Accelerator Programme’, un programa de aceleración que impulsa start-ups de movilidad urbana, busca candidatos para su segunda edición

Tras su primera edición y gracias a su buena acogida y logros recibidos, el programa de aceleración de E+Mobility ha abierto su convocatoria 2023, cuyo plazo de presentación de solicitudes finaliza el 21 de abril de 2023.

Este programa pretende transformar start-ups innovadoras en empresas de éxito a través de la aceleración de sus modelos de negocio, al tiempo que ayuda a ciudades y a empresas a resolver sus retos en materia de movilidad urbana de forma más rápida y eficiente.

Las 10 start-ups, cuyo objetivo es el de dar solución a desafíos en el ámbito de la energía, la micromovilidad y la movilidad compartida, estarán respaldadas por una tutoría empresarial y técnica que les facilitará el acceso a agentes clave para la validación técnica y de mercado y las conectará y preparará para construir pilotos con las partes interesadas pertinentes.

CTAG, como miembro principal de la iniciativa EIT Urban Mobility, coordina el servicio de mentorías con el objetivo de dar apoyo a esas empresas emergentes seleccionadas en los próximos meses.

Los beneficios de los 10 candidatos seleccionados serán, entre otros:

– Acceso a una subvención de 2.500 euros.
– Coaching y formación empresarial individualizados de hasta 30 horas.
– Validación de productos y tecnologías con acceso potencial a empresas de la UE, laboratorios vivientes, ciudades, inversores y compañeros emprendedores.
– Asesoramiento para la presentación ante inversores y posibles contactos con inversores y fondos de capital riesgo.
