La aceleradora especializada en el sector aeronáutico Business Factory Aero lanza su primera convocatoria

Un momento de la presentación de la convocatoria.

A través de esta primera convocatoria se apoyarán seis proyectos que recibirán financiación, asesoramiento especializado, acceso a infraestructuras especializadas y acceso a potenciales clientes del ámbito internacional.

BFAero es una iniciativa cuyo objetivo es incubar y acelerar proyectos y empresas que acerquen soluciones innovadoras en el sector aeronáutico. Está promovida por la Xunta de Galicia, a través del Igape, Gain y Xesgalicia, por CTAG y las empresas Indra y Babcock, gestionada por la Fundación CEL y apoyada por diferentes entidades colaboradoras representadas por el Consorcio Aeronáutico Gallego.

La BFAero incluye dos itinerarios: uno de incubación y otro de aceleración, para los que se dispone de tres plazas en cada uno. La convocatoria está dirigida a todo el ecosistema de innovación: universidades, centros tecnológicos, empresas y emprendedores. El plazo de solicitud, a través de la web www.bfaero.es, cierra el 28 de febrero de 2019.

MATCOMP’19 opens ABSTRACT submission period

MATCOMP is the most important event for the scientific, academic and business community in the field of composite and high-performance materials in Spain. It is a biennial congress promoted by AEMAC to encourage research and use of composite materials.

This edition, organized jointly by AEMAC, CTAG and the University of Vigo, will be the first to be held in Galicia, and will focus on strengthening the impact of composites on Industry 4.0 and on the Circular Economy for strategic sectors such as the automotive industry, the naval industry, aeronautics, renewable energy and the construction sector, among others.

Conference on “Emerging technologies and innovative materials in the construction sector”

CTAG’s facilities in O Porriño hosted the conference “Emerging technologies and innovative materials in the construction sector” organized by the KrEaTive Habitat project, co-financed by the ERDF through the Interreg SUDOE O.P. The technology demonstrators showroom allowed more than 50 attendees to check the performance of the prototypes developed during the project, evaluating their functionality, usability and advantages. The 5 presentations of the experts and researchers in the field of nanomaterials and advanced materials were very well received by the attendees.

We thank the speakers and partners for their participation and all those who decided to join us for their attendance to the conference and for sharing their impressions.

CTAG presents its capabilities for Industry 4.0 at Salon Industries du Futur

Representatives of CTAG visit these days Mulhouse, France to participate in Salon Industries du Futur. It is an event aimed at European experts in Industry 4.0, which serves as a meeting point for exhibitions, conferences and meetings.

CTAG has a stand (0-14) where you can learn about its sustainable and efficient production lines for the Factory of the Future 4.0, connectivity for predictive and proactive processes, flexible logistics and assistance to operators using exoskeletons and wearables. You will also be able to learn about the lines of research in new materials developed at CTAG and see some of the prototypes manufactured in this department.

CTAG visits the leading automotive manufacturers in China

Representatives of CTAG have visited China in a direct mission coordinated from IGAPE. The objective of this mission has been to verify the development of the automotive sector and establish direct contact with the leading automotive manufacturers in the Asian country.

To do this, they visited the main automotive manufacturers, such as BAIC (Beijing), JAC (Hefei), Geely (Guangzhou) and SAIC (Shanghai). Working meetings were also held with CATARC, automobile test center of reference in China.

During this trip, it has also been possible to contrast the high degree of progress and implementation of electric mobility in China and the increasing quality of vehicles being manufactured in this country. In addition, the mission has been useful to present the capabilities of the Galician industry to potential Chinese collaborators.

Desde CTAG nos complace invitarle a La jornada “Tecnologías emergentes y materiales innovadores en el sector de la construcción”, que se celebrará el próximo martes 27 de noviembre en las instalaciones de CTAG.

Esta jornada gratuita se engloba dentro del proyecto europeo KrEaTive Habitat, cofinanciado con fondos FEDER a través del P.O. Interreg SUDOE. En este proyecto, CTAG desarrolla materiales inteligentes para el sector de la construcción, uniendo las funcionalidades que aportan los nanomateriales con los materiales base tradicionales: cerámica, mármol, corcho, entre otros.

KrEaTive Habitat pretende promover la investigación conjunta aplicada a una serie de materiales del sector del Hábitat Arquitectónico, a través del acercamiento, adaptación y validación de las Tecnologías Facilitadoras Esenciales (materiales avanzados, nanotecnología y biotecnología). A través de estas tecnologías se pretende mejorar las prestaciones técnicas de los materiales e introducir características completamente nuevas, nunca antes presentes en estos materiales, que permitan hacerlos atractivos para su uso en aplicaciones de Arquitectura Singular, Diseño y en general de la Industria Creativa.

Durante la jornada, investigadores y expertos en materiales avanzados de entidades tales como 3M, GAIRESA, CeNTi, Universidad de Vigo, CTC y CTAG presentarán los últimos avances en este campo. Además, durante el evento se mostrarán los prototipos que se han desarrollado en KrEaTive Habitat, dando la oportunidad a los asistentes de comprobar su funcionalidad y compartir sus impresiones, dando su opinión en cuando a usabilidad y diseño.

CTAG finalista por partida doble en los Chemplast Awards

ChemPlast Awards 2018 es el certamen que nace para reconocer el trabajo, el liderazgo y la transformación de aquellas empresas de los sectores de la química y el plástico que apuestan por la innovación, la sostenibilidad y la digitalización industrial, enfocándose en todas las áreas del negocio. La misión de estos premios es fomentar y promover la innovación en las industrias químicas y plásticas.

En esta primera edición, la organización ha recibido más de un centenar de propuestas por parte de empresas, universidades, proveedores, investigadores, analistas, start-ups, aceleradoras, parques tecnológicos y centros de innovación.

CTAG ha presentado dos proyectos de investigación e innovación en dos candidaturas diferentes, quedando ambos entre los 3 finalistas de su categoría:

KrEaTive Habitat: Application of Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) in the habitat sector

Se trata de un proyecto de innovación que busca promover la transferencia de tecnología desde las Tecnologías Facilitadoras Esenciales (KET), entre ellas la nanotecnología, hacia aplicaciones de mercado dentro de la Industria Creativa y del Hábitat en entorno del Espacio SUDOE, que cubre España, Portugal, el Sur de Francia, Andorra y Gibraltar.

En concreto, CTAG está desarrollando materiales inteligentes para el sector de la construcción, uniendo las funcionalidades que aportan los nanomateriales con los materiales bases tradicionales:

Baldosas/azulejo cerámico con propiedades de emisión de calor y activación capacitiva por contacto, apto para baños.
Encimeras de cocina con función calienta-platos integrada y activación capacitiva por contacto
Panel de corcho para suelos con propiedades radiantes y sensorización para mapear la temperatura de una sala.

FORTAPE: Research on efficient integrated systems for the manufacturing of parts based on unidirectional tapes for the automotive and aeronautical sector

Se trata de un proyecto europeo de investigación, liderado por CTAG, que aunó la experiencia y conocimientos de los sectores de automoción y aeronáutica para desarrollar nuevas soluciones más eficientes y ligeras para piezas plásticas, basadas en la integración de refuerzos localizados mediante tapes unidireccionales en puntos estratégicos de la pieza, permitiendo un desarrollar un refuerzo a medida de las necesidades de ambos sectores. Las soluciones desarrolladas fueron testadas en 2 piezas objetivo y pasaron todas las validaciones tanto físicas como virtuales.

Este proyecto, finalizado este año, fue liderado por CTAG y financiado por el Programa Europeo Horizonte 2020 con un presupuesto total de más de 5 millones de euros, dentro de la iniciativa Factories of the Future. Más información sobre los resultados en: http://fortapeproject.eu/

CTAG will present the AEROCAR project at INDTECH 2018

CTAG will attend the European conference “INDustrial TECHnologies 2018” to be held from 29-31 October 2018 in Vienna (Austria).

INDTECH2018 is organized by the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission. This event will combine keynote presentations, talks, a matchmaking event and exhibitions. It provides an excellent opportunity to meet experts from industry, academia and policy to exchange information and to strengthen collaboration

New info session about H2020 project Connected Car

Within the framework of the project <IMPACT> Connected Car, CTAG, as responsible of the Spanish Hub, in collaboration with Sanjotec Business and Technology Center, has carried out a workshop to promote the 2^nd Open Call within entrepreneurs of Oporto.

<IMPACT> Connected Car supports innovative SMEs (focused on products and services for connected car) with up to EUR 60.000 equity free, and offers also technical and business coaching and international promotion.

During the event on October 2^nd in S. João da Madeira, CTAG has attended entrepreneurs and SMEs at <IMPACT> Connected Car stand. Later, CTAG has presented details from second Open Call and has participated in the networking session.

This event has been possible thanks to the collaboration of PortusPark (Science and Technology Parks and Incubators), collaborator of CTAG for dissemination fields in Portugal.

CTAG participates in the ITS World Congress 2018

Representatives of CTAG have participated in the 25th edition of the ITS World Congress, a worldwide reference event in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems. This congress, organised by Ertico, took place from 17 to 21 September in Copenhagen, where more than 2,000 professionals gathered to discuss the latest advances in intelligent, multimodal, integrated and sustainable transport.

The event had more than 150 technical and scientific sessions, as well as exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations of organisations from around the world. CTAG participated in two technical sessions. Diego Bernárdez, head of the Connectivity Department, gave a presentation on the activities of the CEF C-Roads Spain project, which aims to accelerate the deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems in Spain. For his part, Diego Rodríguez, Coordinator of the R & D Project Management Area, presented the results of CTAG’s participation in the H2020 project <IMPACT> Connected Car with a paper entitled “Promoting value chain innovations in the emerging ‘Connected Car ‘industry: ICCar approach “.
