CTAG, through the CO-GUIDING Project, will perform the risk assessment implementing ISO12100 and will base the risk estimation on rigorous tests in a simulated (almost real) environment. In addition, it will validate the main safety skills adopted as a risk reduction measure, contributing to a safety protocol and a new test method.
CO-GUIDING is a new technical challenge for CTAG. The goal of CO-GUIDING is to improve safety in the assisted guiding of the collaborative door assembly system (CDAS), while an operator handles the complex trajectories and the quality of the finish and the robot handles the weight and accuracy of the door.
The project, which started on July 15, 2019, will last for nine months and will have the technical assistance of the CEA interactive robotics laboratory.
