CTAG will lead FlexCurb, a project co-funded by the EIT Urban Mobility, working towards the digitalisation and improvement of last mile urban delivery

The FlexCURB Project (Implementation of Dynamic Curbside Management Solutions to Improve Sustainable City Logistics Operations) is an initiative co-funded by the EIT Urban Mobility, in which different European partners will work on the implementation and validation of a digital solution for the dynamic management of curb space, more specifically the integration of parking management, urban vehicle access regulations and freight management.

The collaboration between the different project partners, and with the 4 pilot cities (Toulouse, Strasbourg, Leuven y Funchal), will bring innovations for urban last mile logistics in the form of two marketable products:

  • The FlexCURB Platform, for the digitalization and dynamic management of parking areas for urban freight distribution.
  • The FlexCURB Driver App, designed to enable delivery vehicle users to locate and make use of these digitalized parking zones.

The virtual kick-off meeting organized on Tuesday, January 11, was an opportunity to learn about the needs of all parties involved in the project, as well as their expectations, and to officially launch the activities that will follow.

The consortium formed by private companies, municipalities, mobility and urban development agencies, research and development centres, and universities, is led by CTAG – Automotive Technology Centre of Galicia (Spain), and includes Urban Radar (France), the city of Toulouse (France), the city of Strasbourg (France), the city of Leuven (Belgium), the city of Funchal (Portugal), FIT Consulting (Italy), POLIS (Belgium), Ghent University (Belgium) and CARNET (Spain).
