Francisco Sánchez, Electronics & ITS Director at CTAG, is visiting Lisbon these days to participate in various workshops on technologies and challenges related to autonomous driving.
The first one, CREATE the Next Generation IoT eXperience for the Future, is held between February 26 and 28 and aims to foster links between communities of IoT (Internet of Things) users and providers, as well as with EU Member States’ initiatives
CTAG participates in two of the four sessions that make up the programme by presenting the AUTOPILOT project (Automated Driving Progressed by Internet of Things), a platform in development for connected vehicles that integrates infrastructure, IoT objects and vehicle, with special attention to automated driving safety. This project develops a range of services that combine autonomous driving and IoT, such as car sharing, autonomous parking service and the improvement of digital maps for autonomous vehicles.
On February 28, the AUTOCITS Workshop will take place, focusing on the challenges in autonomous driving implementation, with the participation of leading professionals in the sector. Francisco Sánchez will give a presentation on the technical challenges for autonomous and connected driving.
