With the objective of offering solutions to the technological needs of the automotive industry, CTAG has expanded its environmental testing laboratory in order to enhance its capabilities.
The Center has a new installation for the deployment of airbags in controlled climatic conditions that allows to test all types of airbags in a temperature range of -40 °C to 90 °C on complete body-in-white. The chamber has a system for automated movement and deployment that ensures total repeatability between tests and is equipped with high speed cameras.
CTAG has incorporated a new multi-axial shaker in its acoustics and vibration laboratory. This shaker has a capacity of up to one ton allowing to test complete bodies. Thus, CTAG expands its capabilities in this field, in which it accumulates more than 15 years of experience.
It has also implemented new large full vehicle climatic chambers with a temperature range of -30 °C to 85 °C in order to test several vehicles simultaneously. Radiation systems can be associated to these chambers.
In addition, CTAG increases its capabilities in durability tests with new robots equipped with climatic protection. This allows all types of durability and maneuver tests under extreme weather conditions. These robots have 6 degrees of freedom and wide range for the reproduction of complex trajectories equivalent to those a person would perform in everyday life.
