The Automotive Technology Centre of Galicia (CTAG) presents its new eco-design guide developed in the framework of the SALIENT project, funded by the European Union. This guide is designed to help the automotive industry to integrate sustainable practices and minimise the environmental impact of vehicles from the design stage.
SALIENT’s eco-design guide offers a detailed approach on how to incorporate environmental criteria in the early stages of product development, addressing key aspects such as energy efficiency, the use of recycled materials and design modularity. It also highlights the importance of life cycle analysis (LCA) and provides a clear methodology for assessing and improving the environmental impact of products.
This guide is a significant step towards transforming the industry. By integrating eco-design from the beginning, we can achieve more sustainable and efficient vehicles, contributing to the overall goal of reducing the carbon footprint.
We invite you to explore this guide and learn more about the SALIENT project.
