IMPACT Connected Car announces the 15 startups selected for funding and acceleration in its first round

The announcement was made during the 3-day Disruptive Bootcamp organized by CTAG.

  • The startups, whose projects are focused on smart driving and urban mobility, have been selected from among 200 candidates and will receive up to € 60,000 equity free as well as expert mentoring services
  • The acceleration programme, funded by the European Commission, aims to respond to social and industrial needs in the field of connected cars

Vigo, 25th April 2018. – IMPACT Connected Car, the startups acceleration programme funded by the European Commission and aiming to respond to industrial needs of the automobile sector, has announced the 15 startups selected within the first open call in the 3-day Disruptive Boot Camp held at CTAG (Automotive Technology Centre of Galicia).

Over 200 startups and SMEs from 41 countries participated in the first open call launched in October. Among all the proposals 25 projects were selected to go through a smartization programme, which began with the Disruptive Bootcamp, the first stage of the programme, which was held at CTAG from April 23 to 25.

The Bootcamp included one-to-one sessions and speed meetings and concluded with a jury day in which the 25 participating startups were invited to give their presentations in front of a panel of experts. After the jury’s deliberation, the 15 companies selected for the second stage of the IMPACT Connected Car programme are the following:

CTAG organizes the 1st Disruptive Boot Camp of the European Project Connected Car

Impact Connected Car, 1st Disruptive Boot Camp. 23rd, 24th, 25th april 2018

<IMPACT> Connected Car is a European project which aims to support innovative SMEs focused on products and services for the Connected Car. CTAG participates in this project as technical coordinator and head of the Spanish Hub.

From Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 April 2018, the 1st Disruptive Bootcamp of the project will be held at CTAG, where the 25 SMEs selected after the first call for proposals will present their disruptive and innovative project related to the connected car in the areas of Safety, Vehicle Management, Mobility Management, Entertainment, Driver Assistance and Comfort.

Throughout these days, SMEs will have the opportunity to network and participate in various activities within the “Inspirational Sessions”. On the “Jury Day”, on Wednesday, their projects will be evaluated and the 15 best projects will go to the next acceleration phase, with the advice of PSA, Ferrovial Servicios, CTAG, Moveo, Insero, ISDI, FIA, FIWARE and FundingBox.

El salón de actos de CTAG acogerá esta jornada titulada Convocatorias y actualización de procedimientos para la Financiación de Cooperación Internacional que se llevará a cabo el próximo 27 de abril.

ATIGA, alianza de los seis centros tecnológicos de referencia de Galicia, en colaboración con el CDTI, organizan esta jornada informativa con el objetivo de fomentar la participación de las empresas gallegas en las convocatorias internacionales abiertas en el año 2018 y gestionadas por CDTI.

Representantes del CDTI informarán sobre las convocatorias abiertas para 2018 centrándose en proyectos internacionales (EUREKA, IBEROEKA, BILATERALES, UNILATERALES, INNOGLOBAL). También se informará de las últimas novedades en las ayudas CDTI a nivel nacional y los cambios de procedimientos para la gestión y financiación de propuestas internacionales.

La jornada está dirigida a responsables directivos y técnicos de empresas y asociaciones con actividades de I+D+i internacional del tejido gallego de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación.

En caso de estar interesado en la revisión de la propuesta de proyecto, se debe enviar el FORMULARIO DE REUNIÓN cumplimentado antes del 25/04/2018.

Dado el número limitado de revisiones que podrán realizarse, se aconseja cumplimentar el formulario lo antes posible.

CTAG finished the first round of info days on H2020 Connected Car project

<IMPACT> Connected Car Looking for TOP Connected Car Startups & SMES, apply now

Within the framework of the <IMPACT> Connected Car project, CTAG, as responsible of the Spanish Hub, in collaboration with PSA Groupe, one of the partners of the project, has carried out the first dissemination events.

<IMPACT> Connected Car supports innovative SMEs (focused on products and services for connected car) with up to EUR 60,000 equity free, and offers also technical and business coaching and international promotion.

At the first Info Day at CTAG headquarters on November 28th, companies had the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with the project team.

For those companies that missed the Galician event, a second customized session was organized in collaboration with ITS Spain at its headquarters in Madrid on December 4th.

The last Info Day of this round, coordinated with PortusPark (Science and Technology Parks and Incubators) in Sanjotec (Business and Technology Center) in S. João da Madeira, was on December 12th, where great interest among innovative Portuguese SMEs has been generated.

In this sense, CTAG is committed to continue organizing new events to reach the largest number of innovative SMEs interested in applying to <IMPACT> Connected Car calls.

El puerto de Vigo pondrá en marcha a principios de 2018 un proyecto para modernizar la lonja tras un estudio previo realizado por CTAG.

El presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria de Vigo, Enrique López Veiga, presentó a los usuarios de la terminal este proyecto bautizado como “Lonja del Futuro”, con el que busca un puerto pesquero conectado donde exista un total acceso a la información que se genera. Para ello, se han propuesto una serie de mejoras que van desde la informatización de la rula hasta la creación de un sistema para la descarga inteligente y automatizada. También se mejorarán los sistemas de refrigeración con el fin de garantizar la cadena de frío. Además, se tomarán medidas de eficiencia energética con la sustitución de las luminarias actuales, y se instalará un sistema de “Smart Greed” para la gestión de la energía eléctrica.

Este proyecto es el resultado de una serie de estudios previos encargados a CTAG sobre flujos logísticos y aprovechamiento de espacios. Tras un profundo análisis fueron detectadas varias deficiencias que serán subsanadas con la modernización de la lonja.

También se ha contado con la aportación de los usuarios de las instalaciones, los principales perjudicados por las deficiencias que presenta el edificio. Además, se trata de un proyecto abierto para que hagan sus aportaciones de cara a optimizar la Lonja del Futuro.

Publication of the call Conecta PEMES 2014

The call for project Conecta PEMES was published on September 5th, with a budget of €13.8 million in grants to conduct collaborative R&D projects between at least three Galician SMEs.

The attached file summarizes the highlights of this call focused at the Galician companies to help them reinforce and expand their R&D.

The deadline for submission of applications is October 7, 2013.

CTAG has a specialized team to advise and assist SMEs in the preparation of reports in order for companies to submit their project proposals with the highest possible technical quality.
