Automotive Technology Centre of Galicia (CTAG) is promoting the first autonomous bus pilot project in the Spanish capital, in collaboration with the Madrid Municipal Transport Company (EMT).
The Shuttle, which is electric, connected and developed entirely in Galicia, will be in service in the Casa de Campo until 24 October, following its launch on 15 September.
The service, which is free for users, runs Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 17:00, covering a circular route of 1.8 kilometres with six bus stops. The vehicle can carry up to 12 passengers and is equipped with interior and exterior screens that provide information during the journey.
This milestone reinforces the collaboration established between CTAG and EMT Madrid in 2022 to advance electric, connected and autonomous mobility. Following an initial demonstration in 2024 in Plaza de Cibeles, the Shuttle is now being presented on its first circular route open to the public.
