The Spanish National Accreditation Entity (ENAC) has informed CTAG that the scope of its UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation has been extended to include new testing techniques. This extension includes vibration techniques (ISO 7626), which were audited in March, and are specifically related to mechanical mobility, on which experimental modal analysis is based.
This extension means that CTAG is now the first entity in Spain to be accredited by ENAC under this standard, and one of the few in Europe, for vibration testing methods according to the UNE-EN 60068-2 family of standards (sinuous vibration, random vibration and mechanical shock), as well as under ISO 7626-2 and 7626-5 standards for the experimental measurement of mechanical mobility or inertia using an impact hammer or modal exciter.
Furthermore, the scope of accreditation has also been extended to battery testing, reinforcing CTAG’s position as a benchmark centre for the validation of electric vehicle technologies and energy storage systems.
This expansion consolidates CTAG’s commitment to technical excellence, reliability of results and continuous improvement of its testing and validation laboratories.
