SoCell project: Wireless System-on-Cell for Smart Battery Management in Electric Vehicles
The main goal of the SoCell project is to develop a new ASIC that enables more compact, effective, and affordable Battery Management Systems, with enhanced HW-based diagnosis, wireless communications, fault tolerant and active balancing capabilities. SoCell focuses on the development of key technology innovations at ASIC level, including Li-Fi and NFC communications, on-board EIS, individual cell re-configurability and Multi-Project-Wafer (MPW) prototype manufacturing approach.
