Last week, CTAG – Centro Tecnológico de Automoción de Galicia had the privilege of leading the round table “Digital Twin Challenges” within the hashtag#ADRF25, organized by Adra – AI-Data-Robotics-Association in Stravanger.
We had the opportunity to open the debate by sharing our vision of the future of the Digital Twin, a tool that is consolidated as a key to optimizing operational management in our daily lives. A tangible example of this potential is Proyecto Fisterra a project led by CTAG.
The conversation was enriched by the experience and perspective of Iria Galiñanes Romero, Smart Manufacturing Leader at CTAG and head of ADRA’s Digital Twin group, together with Kosmas Alexopoulos (LMS), Ibon Ocaña (CEIT) and Adela N. Videsjorden (SINTEF Digital), who contributed their direct experience in the application of the Digital Twin in different sectors.
The discussion highlighted the Digital Twin as a key technology that opens up unprecedented opportunities, but also poses strategic challenges such as creating sustainable models, managing data at scale, and maintaining digital infrastructures that ensure returns on investment.
