CTAG participates in the JEC Europe Composites Show & Conferences 2015

Once again CTAG will participate in the JEC Europe Composites Show & Conferences, which will be held in Paris, from 10th to 12th March 2015.

This is the most important event in Europe concerning composites, where exhibitors will offer their proposals and present innovations in different sectors such as the automobile, aerospace, building, civil engineering industry, etc.

Since 2004, CTAG has a research team focused on exploring novel applications for new materials in the transport sector. This team, the CTAG-New Materials R&I Group, concentrates its activities on biocomposites, nanocomposites, lightweight and high-performance composites, smart materials and plastronic. These activities have enable CTAG-New Materials to participate and coordinate several European projects, being the most relevant ones:

– FORTAPE, a research project on efficient integrated systems for the manufacturing of complex parts based on unidirectional tapes for the automotive and aeronautical industry (H2020-FoF2-2014, GA nº636860), led by CTAG.

– NATURTRUCK, that aims to develop a new bio-composite from renewable resources with improved thermal and fire resistance for manufacturing a truck internal part with high quality surface finishing (FP7-SME-2013-1, GA nº 605658, www.naturtruck.eu).

– CARBOPREC, a project oriented to the development of new precursors, functionalization and processing routes for carbon fibres (FP7-NMP-2013-LARGE-7, GA nº 604215, www.carboprec.eu).

– ECOPLAST, a research project focused on new biomass-based composites from renewable resources with improved properties for vehicle parts moulding (FP7-NMP-2009-SME-3, GA nº 246176, www.ecoplastproject.com), led by CTAG.

CTAG will take part in the exhibition at the Spain Pavilion, Booth G62, Hall 7.3.

This participation is supported by the IGAPE line IG208 “Ayudas a los organismos intermedios para la realización de actuaciones y estrategias de promoción e internacionalización de las empresas gallegas” and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund within the framework of the Operational Programme ERDF Galicia 2007-2013.
