CTAG has announced the launch of HAARO, its new humanoid and advanced robotics laboratory, which will strengthen its capabilities to develop, validate and demonstrate solutions aimed at industrial automation and the factory of the future.
HAARO focuses on the training, simulation, testing and validation of humanoid systems and other advanced robotic technologies in industrial settings. For this purpose, CTAG has adapted its facilities and integrated physical and digital resources, such as digital twins, which enable the training, simulation and validation of skills applied to specific industrial processes.
The launch of this new facility took place during the conference “Humanoids in Manufacturing: Challenges and Opportunities”, held at CTAG and focusing on the challenges and opportunities these technologies present for the manufacturing sector. With HAARO, the centre is taking a further step forward in its strategy to foster a leading ecosystem for humanoid robotics in Galicia, with the aim of positioning Vigo and the region at the forefront of European innovation in this field.
