The Automotive Technology Centre of Galicia (CTAG) coordinates the European consortium IH-MIE, an interregional hydrogen mobility initiative for Europe, which was launched on 21 and 22 October. This project, co-funded by the European Union, brings together 19 entities from 9 European regions with the aim of accelerating innovation and the adoption of hydrogen-powered mobility solutions, which are key to advancing towards climate neutrality and ecological transition.
During the kick-off meeting, partners had the opportunity to visit CTAG’s facilities and laboratories, exchange ideas, define initial actions, and reaffirm their commitment to establishing IH-MIE as a European benchmark for collaborative innovation, in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal and the EU Hydrogen Strategy.
IH-MIE will develop a cascade funding programme, training and mentoring activities, and select 30 European SMEs to support the development and market uptake of new zero-emission mobility technologies. The consortium brings together clusters, technology centres, pioneering SMEs and associated entities, ensuring multisectoral and European collaboration.
